The Business Problem
It takes more than a great location to make a successful venue. East Coast Hotels commissioned UNO to work with their architect and project manager to transform an underperforming bar at Sydney’s Cockle Bay.
UNO's Creative Solution
Rather than compete directly with the area’s numerous fashion driven, youth orientated nightclubs, UNO developed a timeless approach that appeals to a broader, more sophisticated market. A visual style that draws on art deco P&O design cues and traditional yacht club motifs reflects the nautical environment. Illustrations by world renowned artisit Nigel Buchanan complete this inviting makeover.
The Outcome
A collaborative design process saw this transformation cruise through the Harbour Foreshore Authority’s approval process. The launch of Helm Bar has delivered more customers, more often, spending more. What more could you want?
